Rich's Story
Who am I?
I studied economics, history, political science and psychology at University. I had a corporate career for two decades. During these years, I used maladaptive coping strategies for life. These behaviours stopped working, and I sought and established new, healthier approaches. I found a therapist with lived experience who identified with my internal and external experiences. New practices have allowed me to regulate my emotions, tolerate distress, build self-compassion and participate in wonderful relationships that are mutually beneficial. Inspired and motivated by these relationships, I decided to study a post graduate degree in counselling and psychotherapy, and to try and help others by providing counsel, viewed through both a clinical and lived experience lens.
